The Shapeshifters returns to Glitterbox Recordings with ‘Everything’s Changing’, the next release from his forthcoming album project. Following the release of ‘On The Way Up’ with NYC band 79.5, a track championed by the likes of Mousse T., Melvo Baptiste, Saison and more, Simon Marlin continues to explore the next chapter of his sonic with vocalist Sharlene Hector. Making her Glitterbox debut, Sharlene Hector is a celebrated UK soul, R&B and dance vocalist, best known for her longstanding work with Basement Jaxx, performing with the group live while also sharing the stage with artists like Alicia Keys, Emeli Sandé and Gregory Porter. ‘Everything’s Changing’ brings Hector’s powerhouse vocal presence into The Shapeshifters’ timeless disco world, with the track once again recorded between Simon’s Earthworks studio and the legendary Renaissance studio in Manhattan’s Film Center Building. Building on the soulful, modern disco direction established by ‘On The Way Up’, ‘Everything’s Changing’ pairs rich string instrumentation with an uplifting groove and Hector’s commanding vocals, resulting in another vibrant, dancefloor-ready addition to the next era of The Shapeshifters.
