The Shapeshifters unveils the deluxe edition of 2022 studio album Let Loose on Glitterbox. Let Loose Deluxe bolsters the original LP with remixes from fellow industry titans from all corners of the globe.

Originally released in 2022, the long-awaited full studio LP saw Marlin work with luminaries from the world of disco, house and soul like Billy Porter, Joss Stone, Kimberly Davis and Teni Tinks, and the album succeeded in pushing The Shapeshifters sonic aesthetic, retaining the brassy, string flourishes and colourful instrumentation that we have come to expect.

One year on, two remixes of Simon’s collaboration with Billy Porter, ‘Finally Ready’ from party-starting maestro Dimitri from Paris and internationally acclaimed Spanish DJ and Urbana boss David Penn demonstrate a modern approach to disco excellence only achieved through years of industry experience.

Additionally, Belgian disco producer Aeroplane remixes ‘Giving Me Something Better’ featuring Obi Franky, mixing rhythmic synth goodness into the funk-laden OG, while Brighton-based soul house expert Sophie Lloyd remixes Marlin’s Talking Heads cover ‘Slippery People’, before Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy delivers her Cosmodelica reimagining of ‘Tell Me It’s Not Over’ and UK expert Ray Mang takes on ‘You Ain’t Love’.

Two Australian producers step up as ‘When Love Breaks Down’ with Teni Tinks gets a unique spin from Late Nite Tuff Guy while ‘Second Chance’ receives love from vinyl junkie Moplen. Rounding off the wildly impressive list of remixers is Dr Packer, taking on ‘Try My Love’ before Marlin reveals an alternative version of the Kimberly Davis collab ‘Love’s Been Waiting’.

In addition to fresh takes on the original Let Loose album tracks, the package features a very special unheard remix of the 2005 Shapeshifters classic ‘Back To Basics’ from bonafide American legend and Defected House Master Frankie Knuckles.

After an incredible showing at major house music events and festivals globally throughout the entirety of 2023, The Shapeshifters has never been more equipped for worldwide domination. The release of Let Loose Deluxe, full to the brim with globally revered A-list artists, will serve as a seminal moment in The Shapeshifters history.
