For our third season at Hï we have continued to push the boundaries musically, with a number of artists making their Glitterbox Ibiza debuts this summer. Soundtracking Sunday nights on the island with the usual authoritative mix of party-starting disco, vocal house and classic anthems are of course the legendary headliners who have shaped the Glitterbox family, as well as the rising stars and underground heroes ready to flex their musical muscles behind the decks at Hï for the first time.

Get to know who will be making their debuts this summer below: 

Kathy Sledge

Founding member of Sister Sledge Kathy needs little introduction, having provided the vocals for some of the biggest disco anthems ever made. Appearing for a couple of very special performances this summer at Hï, expect live renditions of the band’s classics such as ‘Lost In Music’ and ‘We Are Family’. Also keep your eyes peeled for an extra special project coming from Kathy and Glitterbox regulars Horse Meat Disco later this summer… Kathy Sledge performs at Glitterbox Ibiza on 14 July, tickets available here.

Yuksek

An artist whose DJ sets and productions are touched with true musicality, Yuksek makes his Glitterbox debut at Hï this summer at the end of August. Whether its managing his label Partyfine, composing scores for French cinema or releasing huge records like ‘I Don’t Have A Drum Machine’ on Classic or his remix of Glitterbox anthem ‘The Spirit’ by Mighty Mouse there is an elegance and flare to Yuksek’s style that makes him an exciting addition to this years’ line-up. Yuksek plays Glitterbox Ibiza on the 25 August, tickets here.

Smokin Jo

Smokin Jo first made an appearance on the island 26 years ago, and while it may have been a pretty different place back then, she has built a formidable legacy from the booth ever since. She also remains DJ Magazine’s only female winner of the coveted DJ Of The Year award, and has released a number of vigorous house tracks and remixes supported by the biggest names of the underground. She will be playing a few dates this summer for the first time at Hï and is a Glitterbox debut you don’t want to miss. Smokin Jo plays Glitterbox Ibiza on 16 June and 08 September, tickets available here.

Dan Shake

Making a name for himself with his funk touched productions and enviable ability to work a crowd, Dan Shake’s groove-laden sets make him a perfect act for Glitterbox. Merging disco, house and everything in-between seamlessly, he has delighted crowds across the globe from Glastonbury Festival to Japan, and now we can expect the same from his Glitterbox Ibiza debut. Dan Shake plays Glitterbox Ibiza 23 June, tickets available here. 

Katie Goodman 

A young selector with extraordinary energy, Katie plays boldly with an impressive knowledge of music from the newest house party-starters to disco rarities. Having already played for Glitterbox parties in London, Amsterdam, New York and more she makes her debut at Hï this summer to demonstrate her spectacular musical knowledge. Katie Goodman plays Glitterbox Ibiza on 22 September, tickets available here.

Cece Peniston

Perhaps best recognized for her anthem ‘Finally’, Cece Peniston was the voice behind a number of 90’s gems like ‘We Got A Love Thang’, ‘Movin’ On’ and ‘Keep On Walkin’’. The soul diva performs twice this season, making her long-awaited Glitterbox debut to perform her most loved classics. Cece Peniston performs at Glitterbox Ibiza on 7 July and 6 October, tickets available here.

 

Nadia Ksaiba

A seasoned tastemaker of London’s late-night disco dens, Tunisian born Nadia spins a nuanced mix of disco, house, Italo, acid and anything else electronic that gets the heart pumping. Heading out to the island this summer for Glitterbox,  she makes an exciting addition to the Glitterbox line-ups, bringing something a little bit different to Hï this summer. Nadia plays Glitterbox Ibiza on 28 July, tickets avialable here.

Fiorious

Fiorious made serious waves with his Glitterbox debut ‘I’m Not Defeated’ at the end of last year, and the Honey Dijon dub that followed secured its position as a club anthem, his forthcoming album ‘Revisionary’ is also due to drop on the label later this year. The Bronx-born singer made a spectacular performance at our Printworks party and we can’t wait to see what he has in store for his Hï Ibiza debut.
