Saturday can only be described as one of our favourite Glitterbox events yet, as 5,000 incredible party-people descended on London’s Printworks for an unforgettable all-day affair. The combination of our ferocious performers, amazing DJs and artists, and immense production made for some memorable dancefloor moments in the almighty press halls. So after a seriously special party, we take a look back on some of our favourite records from the day…

We have created a handy playlist for you to reminisce on the phenemonal party that took place, you can listen here.

Talk Talk – It’s My Life

Hot Chocolate – I Just Love What You’re Doing

When a DJ as talented as Kon takes the decks at Printworks, you know it’s going to be special. The Boston-based artist (who also makes up half of The Vision) has earnt a formidable reputation as an expert selector, with his set on Saturday blending unearthed gems with sure-fire classics. Always radiating energy from behind the decks as he plays, Kon had 5,000 people singing along to Talk Talk’s 1980s classic ‘It’s My Life’ and grooving to Hot Chocolate ‘I Just Love What You’re Doing’ by mid-afternoon, his selection ensuring the party was already in full force…

Kiddy Smile – Let A B!tch Know

DJ Sneak – It’s All Over My Face

With incredible voguers from Paris, Berlin, London and Manchester descending, Printwork's Dark Room was a unique vibe to any other party we’ve thrown. Hosted by French ballroom ambassador Kiddy Smile and inimitable MC Taboo, the space became a steamy, strutting celebration of the culture, with sets from DJ Paulette, Jono Jury, Hifi Sean and Kiddy Smile bringing the energy. Kiddy's 2016 Defected debut ‘Let A B!tch Know’ and unearthed classics like DJ Sneak’s version of ‘It’s All Over My Face’ were both standout moments, as Glitterbox’s Express Yourself! slogan came to life across the dancefloor

Rapson featuring Nathan Thomas – Heat

Dan Hartman & Loleatta Holloway – Keep The Fire Burnin

Dan Shake’s Glitterbox debut was one to remember, with the Londoner delivering a set with boundless energy from start to finish, demonstrating his notorious party-starting style. Picking a favourite moment is no easy task, but we wanted to highlight Dan’s selection at its genre-bending finest, playing an irresistible house cut from the Defected catalogue, Rapson’s 2018 cut ‘Heat’, as well as the mid-90’s classic ‘Keep The Fire Burnin’ from Dan Hartman and Loeatta Holloway, two records that worked equally well on the Printworks dancefloor. We already can’t wait to see what he has in store for his Defected Croatia appearance…

The Vision featuring Andreya Triana – Mountains

The Vision featuring Andreya Triana - Heaven

Also making their debut at Glitterbox on Saturday were The Vision, bringing their unique show to their biggest audience yet. As always, Ben and Kon brought the heat, performing a number of records from their forthcoming album, including the essential ‘Heaven’, confirmed as a Glitterbox anthem by the incredible crowd’s reaction. The show-stopping delivery of their latest single ‘Mountains’ went down just as well with the crowd, with vocalists Obi, ZaZa and Paige sounding flawless on Printworks’ immense soundsystem, no mean feat after just a week of rehearsals together… If Saturday was anything to go by, this is the start of very exciting things to come from the duo.

Sylvester – Mighty Real

Horse Meat Disco are one of the core members of the family, beloved by Glitterbox attendees for their joyous productions and flawless selection every-single-time. No Glitterbox party is complete without a few disco essentials, and Sylvester’s 1978 Pride anthem ‘Mighty Real’, with its extraordinary musical legacy, still resonates on the dancefloor over forty years since the song’s release, with a timeless message. Perfectly delivered by the HMD boys, along with a few teasers from their forthcoming album, this was a moment we won’t be forgetting any time soon…

Sister Sledge – We Are Family

Horse Meat Disco featuring Kathy Sledge – Falling Deep In Love

Few records stand the test of time quite like the Sister Sledge catalogue, as their timeless array of dancefloor gems continue to light up dancefloors across the globe four decades since they were released. With founding member of the band Kathy performing live on Saturday it was destined to create some magical dancefloor moments, and she did not disappoint, delivering flawless vocals and joyous sing-along moments as she performed. From the classic ‘We Are Family’, to her collaboration with Horse Meat Disco ‘Falling Deep In Love’ Kathy had the crowd captivated.

Delila Renee – You’re Gonna Want Me Back (Joey Negro Disco Blend)

Donna Summer – I Feel Love

Closing out the day was Joey Negro, a trailblazer of UK house and disco, he showcased gems from his own catalogue, including his Disco Blend of ‘You’re Gonna Want Me Back’ by Delila Renee, a record that highlights his ability to pick records from obscurity and transform them into euphoric dancefloor moments. Also dropping Donna Summer’s ‘I Feel Love’, praised by Simon Dunmore as a ‘record made 43 years ago that still sounds like the future!’ Joey’s set was the perfect way to close out an incredible day and night in the Press Halls.
