We hope you are staying safe and well, and finding some comfort during these difficult times. If you tuned in to our Virtual Festivals, thank you. Hopefully it allowed you a moment’s uplift and a feeling of connection. The response has been overwhelming – we feel so privileged to be able to reach millions around the world from the safety of our homes.
As we navigate this challenging global situation, we will continue to be transparent in our decisions relating to our events, so with that in mind it’s time for some updates. Our parties are where we come together with you, our community, to unite on the dancefloor. Our events and festivals are the highlights of our year and the culmination of everything we wish to achieve at Defected. The decision to change events is not one we take lightly; we do so with your safety and worldwide national health services in mind; a situation that is sadly out of our control.
Please be assured we have kept cancellations to an absolute minimum, working hard to reschedule all dates where humanly possible so we don’t miss out on that house music magic. Knowing that we have so much to look forward to is making this that tiny bit easier. Defected, Printworks, Sat 11th April – rescheduled for October 2020 (date TBC). Tickets for the original event will remain valid. Printworks will be in touch directly with all ticketholders with more information and ticket options.
Defected, Forbidden Forest, Sat 9th May – the festival has been rescheduled for Saturday, 12th September. The festival will be in touch with all ticketholders giving more information and ticket options.
Glitterbox Hannover, Sat 9th May – this event has been rescheduled for Saturday, 17th October. The venue will be in touch with all ticketholders giving more information and ticket options.
Defected Ibiza Festival, Thu 14th- Mon 18th May – this has officially been postponed. We are rescheduling to Thu 24th- Mon 28th Sept. Tickets for the original dates will remain valid. We will be in touch asap with all ticketholders giving more information.
Defected & Glitterbox Ibiza seasons (15th May onwards) – we are in regular discussion with our club partners Eden and Hï Ibiza and are awaiting updates from the authorities in Ibiza on a projected opening date for the summer season. This is likely to be later than usual due to Europe-wide lockdowns, and we will update you further as we receive the official government advice.
Defected, Lakedance (Netherlands), Sat 16th May – this event has been cancelled. The promoter will be in touch with all ticketholders giving more information and ticket options.
Defected & Glitterbox, We Are FSTVL, Sat 23rd-Sun 24th May – following the organiser’s own announcement, our stages at We Are FSTVL will join the festival on its newly scheduled date on Sat 12th Sept. We Are FSTVL will be in touch with all ticketholders with more information and ticket options.
Defected Croatia, 6th-11th August – at this time there are no changes to the festival as scheduled. We are awaiting official advice from the Croatian government and will continue working closely with The Garden team to decide the status of the festival. We will only act once guidance from the authorities is clear and will be sure to make any decisions in good time to allow for ticketholders to rearrange travel plans if required. We hope this will not be the case, and are liaising with the other festival partners at The Garden on a regular basis.
Defected London FSTVL, Sat 12th Sept – we have taken the very difficult decision to cancel what would have been our second London FSTVL in the midst of various postponements and rescheduling. Our festival partners including We Are FSTVL and Forbidden Forest where we will be hosting stages are moving their festival activities to the same day (12th September). We do not wish to put any further pressure on the local emergency services by going ahead. As we are the promoter for this event and in direct control of tickets, we are guaranteeing refunds for all ticketholders. Refunds will be processed via Kaboodle automatically and should be received within 4-6 weeks. We hope you understand our decision.
